I wonder if stuffing my self with water will make me gain weight through water weight ???
  • annefood Hey @NellyAymon . First, I wouldn't recommend stuffing yourself with water—it is possible to become overly hydrated such that the sodium levels in your blood drop too low. However, to do that you'd...
  • darkchocolatepeanutbutter Hi @NellyAymon! I'm in agreement with @annefood. Our bodies made up of 60% to 65% water in order to support all of our internal systems so staying hydrated is a great way to help everything to work...

  • DietID_TeamDietitians Great question! Most gum has either sugar or sugar alcohols. Many dentists also classify gum as candy. Therefore, for the purposes of this challenge, gum is not allowed unless it's medically...

  • DietID_TeamDietitians Thanks for sharing! this is awesome! Are there any artificial sweeteners in this?
  • melaniegong Hi Rachna! No, there's no artificial sweeteners. We use monk fruit juice to sweeten it. It has zero calorie and doesn't cause tooth decay :)
  • DietID_TeamDietitians Wow!!! Very cool! I will definitely share with fellow diabetics!

Breakfast on the go!
7yr
I have to be to work early in the morning and I don't have a lot of time in the mornings to cook breakfast. What are some of your favorite breakfasts on the go that aren't loaded with sugars?
  • mirasingh Overnight oats! Just rolled oats, almond milk or regular milk, dried fruits or fresh fruits - just put all of that in a jar, tupperware, or solo cup, and place it in the fridge tonight and it will...
  • DessertKing A shake usually is quick if you have the ingredients prepped. An easy one is banana, collard or spinach, flax seeds, apple, ginger, and oatmeal. I can throw all of those into my blender and it's...
  • NehaNBB Ok, this may sound crazy -- I make an omelette muffin most mornings, and I've got it down to 2 minutes of prep. When I wake up, I whip up 2 eggs, add some salt, pepper, whatever herbs I have, and...

How do i avoid sweets candy etc. If i have a lot of them in my house ?
7yr
  • justinponeill Throw them away or "gift" them to someone else when you end up or someone else's house (As long as they aren't open yet).
  • nikkipayne21 That's always hard. I struggle with the same problem. But I just have to remind myself what I want more. I want to be healthier and my body will feel awful afterwards
  • davisaa It's tough to get started but once you cut them from your diet you'll lose the craving and eventually be able to avoid them completely! Good luck!

"It can be cheaper and more nutritious. But most of all, you’ll gain crucial skills."
  • darkchocolatepeanutbutter Completely agree! I'm lucky that I was required to take cooking classes for my major and I had an actual kitchen in my dorm/home.
  • boxboxbetty So true! I wish schools offered a discount for cooking students as incentive. Regret not learning to cook earlier.
