First day eating less meat

  • DietID_TeamDietitians How does it feel? What are you replacing meat with? My favorite meat replacements are mushrooms and jackfruit.
  • shezza I never tried jackfruit, I’m using soya mince for spaghetti Bol, chilli etc, quorn bacon rashers, bio life cheese(which I hate, looking for another option) soya milk.

  • garv Goat cheese & toasted cashews makes a great stuffing. Although fried blossoms is a safe bet , light searing or a light roast works well too.

What to do with smoked mackerel for breakfast?

  • nloai001 I usually have smoked salmon with cream cheese on a bagel (or toast). Maybe your smoked mackerel could be a good sub for the smoked salmon?
