I don't understand why this is such a good thing? Has anyone tried it? Is this really some big innovation?
  • Udi We ponder this question a lot at the office. Thanks for sharing
  • brittanymbarton sounds awful. I've heard it described as drinking pancake batter. Not to mention I don't think it's possible to get adequate nutrition from it.
  • gingerandchorizo I don't think I can ever do that because I love eating too much ;-)

We grow and sell a good bit of wheatgrass, but have found it to be a polarizing crop as well. It's health benefits are very contested. Some swear by it, some swear against it. What are your thoughts?
  • DietID_TeamDietitians I'm not a die hard fan because it's made me feel a bit sick to my stomach once. Other than that, I know it's packed with nutrients but there hasn't been any good research on that I've found. Anyone...
  • lauren What are the uses other than juicing?
  • olivettefarm @Rachna I've also yet to find any strong research on the benefits of it, a lot of it is still anecdotal at this point..to my knowledge at least. The breakdown of nutrients actually isn't that...

  • olivettefarm I've never used a QR code and I doubt most people would for their food. I think clear on package labeling is the very best option, but that will be a huge fight. In the mean time I think educating...

  • DietID_TeamDietitians Great question! I usually bring it up as a part of explaining the menu including where the veggies came from, so it's not a political statement but rather just a statement of fact. Sometimes I...
  • tinabeans Great points all around @Rachna! Usually i just bring food to the table and let all have at it! But marking the start of the meal in a more intentional way may be in order :)

A lot of you are in the restaurant industry so have you ever made menu claims that aren't true? And how can we ensure what is represented on the menu (e.g. Local) is true??
