Iโ€™m having a barbecue tonight, what are some no sugar options? And is honey allowed?

  • DietID_TeamDietitians Sounds fun! So honey isnโ€™t allowed but you can replace with dates which are naturally sweet. Also opt for a ketchup with no added sugar if your recipe calls for ketchup or stick with tomato paste....

  • sugardetoxme Such a good question!!!! I wish the books I've read turned into films, but Food Chains really sticks out in my mind

  • sugardetoxme Love having bee pollen in my yogurt, but the apiculturist that I buy it from suggests only have a couple tsps full every morning.
  • garv @sugardetoxme it's fab & pure proteins. It is better to have a little to get the body used to it , prevents any allergic reaction. Try it in a smoothie sometime !
  • carpe_deli Hahaha thanks guys @sugardetoxme and @garv ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ I actually did not know so now I am nit "over" sprinkling it anymore on my breakfasts ๐Ÿ˜„

  • Juliaehale @MaureenS it was amazing. Try olives instead! You'll get that same briny salty flavor without the fish!

@Food52 recently did this post on salvaging salad greens in soup. I just did this with some leftover tatsoi. Sure some of you have tips. Any suggestions?
  • olivettefarm Love tatsoi! I like to add that to smoothies when I have a ton. I also like to grill romaine heads if they're beginning to wilt.
  • katewilson Those are good ones. My dad loves spinach in his smoothies. And he's a beast behind the grill! Grilled romaine sounds great with blue cheese. @olivettefarm
  • sugardetoxme I take my wilty kale and turn it into kale chips. Usually add a little cumin or nutritional yeast for added B vitamins. Bet @serveMEnow @gingerandchorizo @Cravingsinamsterdam @JenniferEmilson and...
