For the Eat Less Meat challenge remember it is still important that you get protein. Nuts, milk, yogurt, eggs and beans are high in protein.

Do lettuce, tomatoes, and onions on a sandwich count as a serving of fruits and vegetables?

  • bubblegem Well it depends on the amount of each maybe you could have 2 sandwiches and mix up the veggies on each one!
  • nikkipayne21 I think it does. I mean you're putting those vegetables in your body.
  • DietID_TeamDietitians @cristianpereira - if all 3 amount to about a cup, or a fist-full, then yes! It counts as 1 serving!

How i can avoid eating snacks?

  • lauren I keep my water bottle on me at all times! I think I read somewhere that when we crave salty snacks, we actually need water and could be dehydrated
  • emmie Eating snacks isn't necessarily bad for you- as long as they are healthy and a small size. :)
  • DietID_TeamDietitians For late night snacking, I get a cup of herbal tea instead so it fulfills my craving to consume something flavorful, makes me feel warm, but doesn't have caffeine so I won't stay up too late.
