We grow and sell a good bit of wheatgrass, but have found it to be a polarizing crop as well. It's health benefits are very contested. Some swear by it, some swear against it. What are your thoughts?

I'm not a die hard fan because it's made me feel a bit sick to my stomach once. Other than that, I know it's packed with nutrients but there hasn't been any good research on that I've found. Anyone else have anything?

@Rachna I've also yet to find any strong research on the benefits of it, a lot of it is still anecdotal at this point..to my knowledge at least. The breakdown of nutrients actually isn't that impressive, I believe it's the chlorophyll levels that are claimed to be most helpful. @Lauren I don't know of any other uses aside from juicing.

It does make people feel pretty cool though - ripping out some grass and drinking it. That's getting pretty close to nature ;). And the farmer who sells wheatgrass at the farmers market crushes it, so those anecdotes clearly sell the product for itself. @Olivettefarm - what are people saying down there?

I'm a fan, but think it's just the marketing at the end of the day but I've grown to like it...get it from the Grassman at the farmers market... and my cat likes it too!! But she'll eat just about anything.

@Rachna most people that have bought it from me generally just enjoy it and it makes them feel good...which I think there is a lot to be said for that. It's nice for veggies to be super nutrient dense and tasty, but sometimes they can just be tasty. @katewilson we've sold to a few people that use it for their cats!
Small radishes like this one tend to have nice, tender greens that taste very similar to the radish themselves. Use them to add a little spice to your greens mix. #nofoodwaste#FoodRevolution

I love baby radishes and turnips. Eat the whole thing!! BTW, I wanted to let you know that those lacewings work like a charm indoors! No aphids!
JenniferEmilson
Oh yes- I roast them just like kale or Brussels sprouts chips!!

I'm about to try some green lacewings on my aphids indoors. Good idea or bad idea @olivettefarm
olivettefarm
@sugardetoxme good idea to kill aphids, but they may procreate a little more than you might want in your home. Aside from that they'll do great and won't explore around the house as much as...
