Replace saturated fats from butter, lard, pastries,cream with unsaturated fats found in vegetable oils, nuts, seeds, oily fish and avocados.

  • SuzanneM 100% agree with this tip. I know there is a lot of info out there about fat making a comeback. But it's not about any fat. We need to be eating healthy fat!
  • darkchocolatepeanutbutter Love the tip @evasu! I just to clarify that a vegetable oil like coconut oil can also be saturated but it is still a great alternative.
Is stevia okay to sweeten my coffee since it is a plant?

  • DietID_TeamDietitians I would say if you're using the actual stevia plant or extract (I used to grow one!) that's a-ok.

Is it necessary to drink green tea??? How many cups should I drink everyday

It's hard not to eat desserts because they taste so good but I know it will be bad for me in the long run. How can I stop craving desserts?

  • purplebatman You can throw out or give away any of your dessert food so you don't have it in your house. It will reduce the cravings as you do not see the food every day.
  • nicoleigh Sliced strawberries cooked in the oven on a low temperature for a few hours are pretty tasty :)

  • Lazy_Nash I think it doesn't , but to be sure check in the internet
  • Nainiac Actually most bagels are made with added sugar.... For instance a Panera plain bagel has brown sugar in it. Dunkin and Einstein also add sugar. I was bummed and surprised to learn that myself!!

I've been drinking apple cider vinegar to stop my cravings but it didn't quite work. It has been a week. Was goes wrong?

  • annefood Hey @fitorious ! Have you tried drinking sparkling water with pieces of fruit in it? That helps me when I'm craving something sugary. Also, check out the Avoid Sugar Guidebook...
  • GGShah I've never tried vinegar, but what has worked for me is to have sparkling water always around. I realized my soda addiction was really about the fizz. Now I've just gotten creative with what I put...
