Chili Recipe

Slow cooker
Ingredients:
1 pound dried black beans, cooked
(45oz of canned beans may be substituted but note that
sodium content may increase)
1 pound 93% lean ground beef
3 cans (14.5oz) low sodium diced tomatoes, undrained
1 large onion, diced
1 red pepper, cored and diced
3 cloves garlic, minced (about 2 teaspoons)
2 ½ tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
Mix all ingredients into the slow cooker. Cook on low for
6 - 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
