Avocado kept fresh
I recently found an easy way to store half / part of an avocado from turning brown .
Simply cover it in plastic wrap ( in a nicely sealed air tight manner ) and place in the fridge.

DietID_TeamDietitians 10yr Really?! Oof I'll give it a try sans the lemon juice. I always use both and it seems to work, but a true scientist would say only test one variable at a time :)

JenniferEmilson 10yr I've always used the pit and cling wrap. I'll try the lemon instead and find out what happens. -
lauren 10yr I've been using aluminum foil with the pit in... Not sure if it works better than plastic wrap but it's a tad more environmentally friendly and easy to reuse! -

Riki 10yr Keeping the pit on limits the exposed surface to air - from my point of view it can help a bit from that perspective. lemon / acid is probably helpful too. Bottom line : avocado is s true treasure food worth fighting for 😄
