Foodstand Foragers harnesses the power of community to pave a sustainable future for food.
Foragers are visionaries building, designing, connecting, disrupting, storytelling, cooking, coding, growing, and engaging with communities to eat consciously.
By joining a network of proven leaders, Foragers are able to support each other to amplify their own work in the good food movement.
Launching 2015. We will accept applicants on a rolling basis.
The Details
Ideal candidates are:
- Excited to actively participate in a committed core that is elevating the conversation on good food in the NY Foodshed.
- Creatively engaging an audience online or offline to care about food issues via various communication mediums. Issues include anything from sourcing, farming, antibiotic use, gluten, food art to worker rights, neighborhood focus, composting, etc. Mediums include art, policy, media, writing, video, storytelling, meals, and more.
- Informing the community about who, what, and where behind the food system and providing agency or opportunities for participation or education.
- Intrigued to share and learn new expertise, access with fellow change-makers in the Forager network.
- Convinced that technology has an important role to play in growing the demand for good food, and pumped to collaborate with Foodstand in doing so.

Foodstand Foragers is an incredible chance to align with 24 like-minded leaders and make real impact in the food movement. Supported by the Foodstand platform, Foragers present a model for a better networked food system.
