  • lauren Yes! What's the best way to prepare? I've been intimidated
  • LesleyRozycki It was actually my first time making them (I was recipe creating and taking photos for a company's website). So after some research, I learned that you must boil them (I did it for about 8 mins)...

I was feeling pretty sick, but a fresh dinner using fingerling potatoes actually is pretty quick because they don't take as long to cook, and they are easier to cut when you aren't feeling so hot

I've fallen in love with making my own granola! You can add whatever -grains, nuts, seeds, dried fruits, etc.- you'd like and usually it's much cheaper than buying it prepackaged.
  • annefood Welcome! Homemade granola is such a great way cut costs and sugar intake. #kitchentips
  • lauren Nice! I always end up accidentally burning my granola... Any tips?
  • annefood I stir and rotate my pans every 15 minutes during cooking @lauren which helps to not burn.

  • DietID_TeamDietitians Soooo yummy! Yes when local strawberries come to the market, I like to buy a bunch and freeze them for dreary winter days that just need some sweetness :) #kitchentips
  • reneedenise @Rachana I like that idea! :) I'd need to figure out how to keep the freezer scent out of my food if it's stored for more than a short time.
  • DietID_TeamDietitians Ahh good point! I've double-bagged before. Not sure that works super well because those berries don't last very long- I have very little willpower 😍
